As of November 1, 2020, Android apps that use in-app purchases must include account suspension and restoration from the application. These new options are now available from your PandaSuite In-App Purchasing component and your apps are compatible.

Some of you have received this notification: “You must have implemented account suspension and restoration in your application before November 1, 2020. Suspension and resubscription will also be enabled by default unless you unsubscribe.

Indeed, Google Play recently launched a new version of Google Play Billing Library that includes new ways for users to pay and improvements in performance and security. As of November 1st, apps that use integrated purchasing will be required to integrate these new options.

New options for the In-App Purchases component

New features are now available for the In-App Purchases component:

  • New Not Purchased (Pending) trigger to manage the “Pending/Pending” status of purchases
  • New Waiting for payment trigger to signal that a new purchase has been issued but is still not purchased, so it goes to “Pending”.
  • New action to open the management of subscriptions/purchases from the application.
  • New property Type that becomes mandatory In-App or Subscription
